Hello Everyone!
Just wanted to drop in and give a few brief updates about what's been going on since the end of the campaign. First and most exciting for us, we just got our funding deposited and can move forward with making sure everyone is paid and ready to get to work!
We're plugging away at creating the Backerkit surveys and will distribute the available digital rewards (like previous issues) shortly after we send those out. Completing that was on the agenda for this weekend; however, Grand Rapids Comic Con gave me a very last minute table, so I'll be spending most of that time selling books and driving back and forth and prioritizing surveys the following week.
Ellie is working on thumbnails as we speak and, while we are expecting the inking process to take the majority of the winter, things appear to be off to a good pace!
Finally, as I'm sure you're already aware, we're running our last campaign of the year for issue #2 of our NSFW slice of life Comedy, Smut! Issue #1 was incredibly well received and we're already funded and working on our second stretch goal! If you want to check it out, you can do so here!
That's all for right now, talk soon!

WE DID IT!

Hello Frankenfriends!
We have never had a campaign come down to the wire like this! In the last 48 hours, we raised over $3000 for this campaign, taking us from seriously in the negative to well over our goal! Thank you all so much, we could not have done it without all of your help and enthusiasm.
I'm honestly a little overwhelmed, so I'll just keep it to the next orders of business: Over the next week, Kickstarter will be processing your payments. Most will go through today, if they don't, we'll be in contact to make sure that you get your pledge goes through and you can get your rewards.
We'll be doing the surveys through BackerKit and letting you know when those go out (don't worry, we won't be charging any additional shipping fees, it just helps us to stay organized).
I spoke with Ellie this morning and she's getting started on thumbnails today. I'm optimistic that we can have this project done and sent out on time!
We have some big plans for next year including the Trade Paperback and some new one-shots set in the world of Frankenstein the Unconquered, but we'll get there when we get there. For now, thank you all so much for letting us do this comic, it just means everything to us!
I'm gonna go take a nap now.

Hello Frankenfans,
I don't know if we've ever had a campaign be this close before, but we're 48 hours away from the end with only 14% more to go, just over $1400! I'm absolutely not going to let us get this close to the finish line and fail, so let's sweeten the pot in the final hours:
- We're going to include the two new physical add-ons, the print based on the Flops issue #4 cover and the poster based on the Luana Vecchio issue #5 poster, in the $100 Everything tier. So if you upgrade your pledge, you get $35 worth of art for free!
- We're going to bring in an extremely popular art piece from another campaign, this pin up by Flops (who also drew some of our most popular art for this series!). This will be available starting right now for $10
If you haven't already, tell your friends and grandma about the campaign, take to social media, and make sure no stone gets left unturned! We're so close to the finish line, let's not stumble with the end in sight!

"Earth's most dangerous hacker is captured and forced on a suicide mission into a haunted house on Mars. Issue #4 picks up with Cass seemingly alive on Earth, her mission on Mars complete.
"A Haunting on Mars is a comic book series that blends horror, science fiction, and social commentary. The series is about a corpo team sent to a dead colony on Mars to uncover secrets that cause their sanity to unravel."
I'm a big fan of Zach Chapman's other series, Kaiju Blues, but this looks even more up my alley! Cronenberg style sci-fi/body horror with some truly striking line work and some of the most wild sample pages I've ever seen in a comic? Yeah, sign me up! You can check it out here!
"A father with superpowers, left his wife and daughter to become “Invulnerable” - the world’s only superhero. Ten years later, his daughter discovers that she has inherited the very superpowers that made her father leave their family. But Invulnerable wasn't the only person keeping secrets! Casey's mom has been a villain this whole entire time as a lifelong KGB agent.
"The KGB have killed Invulnerable, and unlike your standard superhero comic, HE ISN'T COMING BACK! Casey has a lot of emotional baggage as she takes over her father's mantle with blood on her hands. Is she more like her villainous mother or superhero father? Can she carve her own name within her father's long casting shadow?"
No one is surprised to see Lifeline comics (Kat Calamia and Phil Falco) doing something cool, and fewer people should be surprised that Tango is drawing a comic that's striking, bold, and oozes personality. I don't often recommend superhero comics, especially on Kickstarter, but his one is definitely an exception! Check it out here!
One last push, let's do it!

Final Stretch!

Hello Everyone!
There's 5 days left in this campaign, we're 76% funded, and my heartrate is pretty consistently 20-30 bpm above resting! It's gonna come down to the wire, but I believe we can get there. In the meantime, if you have a second, apparently Kickstarter is starting to prioritize things like comments on campaign pages--so, let's try it. Go to the proper campaign page (not just the comments on this update) and, if you're a returning backer, I'd love to hear what you like about the series and what you're excited for in the finale. If you're new, tell me what caught your eye.
Other than that, tell your friends, post to social media, shout it from the rooftops, and let's give this series the finale it deserves!

"All Dana wanted was a good night's sleep...
"Plagued for years by horrible nightmares, a desperate Dana Arlin sought the help of the mysterious EREBOS INSTITUTE. All Dana wanted was a good night's sleep; what she got instead was a truth even more terrible than the nightmares themselves:
"The monsters in Dana's dreams are real, and they are using innocent victims like her as conduits into our world. In exchange for the Institute's help, Dana has agreed to work on their behalf, hunting and killing the very creatures she's unwittingly released into our reality.
"But what if these (literal) nightmares are merely harbingers of an even greater evil?"
I actually got to preview this comic twice--the first time when I was trapped on a plane headed to Baltimore when my friend Alex Breen started reading it next to me and I was nosy enough to read it along with him. The second was when Eric sent it to me personally. Both times, I came away with the same impression: Holy crap this is an amazing comic! Seriously, it's a stunningly beautiful horror one shot that I NEED to see in print. Check it out here!
"Born into the outcast breed of werewolves known as the Monoki, eighteen-year-old Rodney Marcelli is reluctantly pulled into an ancient war between good and evil, during a modern time where the line has blurred.
"With the help of Snow Paw, the Pureblood Monoki, and the supernatural evil slayer, Night Hunter, Rod must learn to master his newly found lycanthropy and mysterious kinetic energy power that only he possesses. Rod must fight the Dark Covenant in order to avenge his friends and family, and to save the girl he loves from the master vampire, Lord Malice.
"Rodney Marcelli is Night Wolf!"
On the subject of long time Kickstarter horror series full of campy monsters, Night Wolf is back on Kickstarter and it is, and this isn't a joke, 99% funded at time of writing! How cool would it be if someone here put them over the edge? Tell them Frankenstein the Unconquered sent ya! Here's the link, check it out!
Let's make this final stretch one to remember!

Single digit days left!

Hello Everyone!
We've got 9 days left in this campaign and we've got some ground to make up. We're not lost by any means, but we cannot afford to rest on our laurels! For our part, we're reaching out to local comic shops, messaging our previous backers, going to a comic convention in Indiana, and screaming from every available rooftop to let people know about the series finale of this amazing comic we get to make!
If you want to get involved and help us reach our goal, well first off you've already done the most important thing which is support the campaign, so thanks! But if you want to go further, you can always talk to your friends and people you know from your LCS about the book, and making a post on social media helps get a lot of attention on the book as well.
Also, quick reminder, we do have a digital deluxe upgrade that includes a cover gallery and the annotated script for the issue, so if you want more Frankenstein the Unconquered, that's a cheap and easy way to get it!
It's gonna be a hard fought battle all the way to the end, but we've got 9 days to make $3.5k and stranger things have happened. Let's do it!

"THE BREACH is an incredible new comic book series from screenwriter Rylend Grant. It's a gritty small town crime drama... you know, if there was a portal to another time/dimension about to open up in said small town... if there was a massive futuristic army about to kick it's way through and lay waste to said small town... in the end though, it's a redemption song, written about the local hoods and smugglers who end up tasked with stopping armageddon."
Rylend Grant is always reliable for a high octane action comic that feels like old school Hollywood (because it is). His comics are always a good time with some fantastic, stylish art. I would honestly say he sets the standard for what a Kickstarter comic should be! He's got 4 days left in his campaign, so check it out here!
"L.A. Noire meets The X-Files. Star Noir is a 6-Part detective story following Homicide Detective Alan Miller and his grey alien partner Ellis Tate as they travel across 1940’s Los Angeles to find an elusive shapeshifter killing officers in Central Station.
It mixes the haunting sci-fi of The X-Files with the grit and tone of noir books like James Ellroy’s The Big Nowhere. It has the snappy dialogue of The Big Sleep, and depicts a stylized 1940’s Los Angeles as seen in movies like Chinatown and L.A. Confidential."
I actually have a pull quote on this book that I'll just repeat here: "The powerhouse creative team behind Star Noir make genre fiction look easy. Telling a compelling murder mystery is hard enough, but to wrap that around an X-files style alien invasion without losing anything from either genre? That's what makes Star Noir a force in the indie scene!" Check it out here!
Let's fight till the end!
